The olive BushBed travel hammock is not only very light with 650 grams total weight including mosquito net, the system of the mosquito net is also unique. It is tied to a string above the hammock, and pulled over like a hose. If you lie in the BushBed lightweight hammock you only need to pull on a string to close the mosquito net over yourself. The net serves as insect protection and covers only about 2/3 of the lying area. 1/3 is made of breathable nylon which makes for privacy and protects from morning sunlight.
The special feature of the Bushbed hammock is that you can close the mosquito net by pulling on a string. The mosquito net covers only about 3/4 of the hammock and is fixed to an extra line above the hammock and pulled like a hose over the hammock. The part over the head is made of breathable nylon and thus serves as a visual screen and prevents on the other hand that early rays of the sun wake up too early. So one is protected from insects at night and undisturbed during the day by unpleasant glances from observers or the dawn that can be too early after a long night at the campfire.
The mosquito net on the lower part of the hammock is completely closed, the opaque nylon on the headboard hangs laterally over the lying surface. Loosely hanging down allows you to stick your hand or head through it to talk to a companion, to look up at the sky or to reach for something. Above the head on the inside of the outdoor hammock is a handy bag for storing small items such as mobile phone, flashlight or pocket knife.
To be perfectly equipped for sleeping in the open air, all that is missing is a rain shelter and ropes and of course two suitable trees between which you can hang the BushBed hammock.
