The DD Travel bivi outdoor hammock, like all DD light hammocks consists of two layers. The two-layer system brings many advantages. On the one hand, you can put a sleeping pad in between when it gets cold. This is fixed with Velcro between the layers. Secondly, the two layers of the sleeping surface provide better protection against insect bites from below. And you can lie down between the layers like in a cocoon and is thus completely enclosed in the hammock.

The mosquito net is fixed to the hammock. Entry and exit is via two zippers on both sides. If the net is not needed, you can simply tie it up or turn the hammock upside down. Thus, the mosquito net is located at the bottom and can be used to store small items. The aluminum spreader bar is ultra lightweight and can be folded up. It stretches the net in width. So you have more space in the hammock and the net does not touch your body.

The DD Travel hammock is made of extremely waterproof nylon. This material offers the possibility to fix the hammock to the ground should there be no suitable trees for mounting the hammock. Thus, the lying surface becomes a waterproof base and the mosquito net becomes a roof. Like a
small tent, the DD Travel Bivi becomes a shelter. In combination with a DD Tarp you are not only protected from moisture from below, but also against rain.
