Frequently Asked Questions About Hammock Brands
Which hammock brands do you stock?
We currently stock 16 brands — from classics such as Amazonas, MacaMex and Chico to camping specialists like DD Hammocks, ENO, Bushmen, Hennessy and Lawson. You will find the full overview with every product in the brand list on this page.
How do you choose the manufacturers you work with?
What matters to us is that a product offers real added value, that the company deals fairly with everyone in its production chain and that no raw materials go to waste. Just as important is a named contact at the manufacturer, so that we can resolve customer issues quickly and fairly. Over the years we get to know new brands — and we part ways with some of them again.
Which brand suits which purpose?
For the garden and terrace, Amazonas, Chico, Jobek and MacaMex are the obvious choice. For camping and bushcraft, reach for DD Hammocks, Bushmen, ENO, Hennessy or Lawson. For travel, trekking and festivals, DD, ENO and Hideaway are the lightest options.
What is the difference between ultralight and classic garden hammocks?
Ultralight models are made from thin, breathable nylon or parachute silk, weigh a few hundred grams and pack down to the size of your fist — designed for a rucksack and the trail. Classic garden hammocks in cotton or weatherproof synthetic fibre are considerably heavier and wider, but far more comfortable for hours of lying in one fixed spot.
You used to stock La Siesta and Tysco — are they still available?
Our range changes over the years. We still hold remaining La Siesta stock, which we are selling off. Jobek was absent from the market for many years; we already sold Jobek twenty years ago. In our shop, La Siesta is now being replaced once more by the long-established Jobek brand. If you are looking for a particular model, write to us — we can usually find an equivalent from our current range.
The brand I want is not listed — what now?
Just get in touch. We are happy to contact the manufacturer and check whether the brand fits our range.
